About Us

         Sandy Hill Elementary is located in the city of Cambridge, Maryland.  For the 2005-06 school year, Sandy Hill serves 365 pre-kindergarten through fifth grade students.   The school employs a principal, assistant principal, guidance counselor, professional development teacher, nurse, five special educators, speech/language teacher, media specialist, art teacher, music teacher, physical education teacher, twenty regular classroom teachers, six instructional assistants, and a full and part time secretary. 
 

          Sandy Hill Elementary has a partnership with the Judy Center, a preschool center serving three to five year old children, as well as providing a parenting component for parents of children from birth to three.  Sandy Hill has an active School Improvement Team, Instructional Consultation Team (IC- Team), Positive Behavioral Interventions & Supports team (PBIS), Parent Advisory Council (PAC) and Parent Teacher Organization (PTO).
